Highlights by season

Spring (March–May): Asparagus, rhubarb, strawberries, spring greens, and the first greenhouse lettuce. Michigan's asparagus season is legendary — don't miss it.

Summer (June–August): The peak of abundance. Blueberries, cherries, peaches, sweet corn, tomatoes, peppers, and melons. This is when your local farmers are at their busiest.

Fall (September–November): Apple and pumpkin season. Plus pears, grapes, winter squash, root vegetables, and kale. Michigan apple cider is a fall essential.

Winter (December–February): Root vegetables, stored apples, winter squash, and greenhouse greens. Plus year-round proteins like beef, pork, and chicken from local farms. Honey and maple syrup make great winter staples.
